Dr. Suraj Sharma, MD, FRCPC, MScPH

Dr Suraj Sharma is a community gastroenterologist/hepatologist at Brant Community Health System in Brantford, Ontario.  He completed his gastroenterology residency and advanced hepatology fellowship at the University of Toronto. 

He then went on to a clinical nutrition fellowship and Master of Public Health Sciences at the University of Chicago. During his fellowship, his research focused on development of a hepatocellular carcinoma risk prediction score, with publications in the Journal of Hepatology and Gut.

He is engaged in leadership activities in GI with committee work at the Royal college and CPSO, and the position of regional lead for the Hamilton region CCO FIT program. 

He also enjoys teaching and mentoring GI residents and participates in the UofT academic half day as well as the endoscopy simulation week for GI and surgery residents annually.
